We all ask that question at some point in our lives:
What’s my purpose in life?
My purpose in life is to find joy and share it with the world.
How do I do that in this dark, tired world?
I must be the change that I want to see in the world.
Once I find my perfect joy and happiness, others will see it in my shining face and realize their true purpose in life.
But it starts with me, I must show the world how to do it and that it’s possible.
This world cannot be saved without my smile.

While I let myself be sad, the light in me that was appointed to save the world is dim and fain, and no one else laughs because all laughter can only echo mine.
My joy calls to all minds to let their sorrow go and take their place in perfect joy and happiness together with me.
I will be the messenger of joy to the world that heals sorrow and despair.
I will not let myself be sad today.
For if I do, I will fail the world.
Sadness is the sign that I have chosen the wrong perception and have forgotten my purpose in the world.

I will show the world how great joy and happiness are.
Today, I will remember that joy is my function in this world.
If I let myself be sad today, my function is unfulfilled and all the world is deprived of joy.
We are meant to be happy, I will not let sorrow rise to diminish my joy and I will not let fear diminish my peace.
Today, I will be a joyous messenger that brings happiness to everyone that looks upon my face.

My job in this world is to be happy.
This is the only thing that is asked of me.
But that also means that I have to let go of the wrong belief that sacrifice is asked of me.
That means that I have to look deep within myself, ignoring all the little thoughts of doubt and misery, and find the perfect joy.
I am not alone in this.
Spirit will guide me If I let it.
It is there, inside of me, perfect joy.
What could be more important than this?
What little thought or foolish goal could be bigger than bringing joy to the world?
Today will be the day that I will succeed.

I will look deep inside of me, I will let spirit guide me, I will find perfect joy so that I can share it with the world.
I am not at peace, because I am not fulfilling my purpose.
I will have to give up the idea of the purpose that I have given myself and accept the true purpose given me.
If I choose not to accept my real purpose in life, the world will appear dim and threatening.
I will see myself as deprived of light, unfairly left without a purpose in a futile world.
How can we achieve this?
The best way to achieve realizing our true purpose is to let the body have no purpose on its own.
This will leave space in which a different view or another purpose can be given to you.

Right now, we think we know the purpose but it’s only an illusion of a purpose that hides our true function in the world.
Let it go then, and allow your true purpose to be revealed to you.
At some point, we need to start learning to see how meaningless the outside is and how meaningful the within is.

Hidden under all our ideas about the world and our function in it, is our true purpose: truly beautiful, clean, and of infinite value. Full of happiness, joy, and hope.
Today, I will make a commitment to let my true purpose be revealed to me instead of placing my own judgment and ideas upon it.
Our purpose is to see the world through the eyes of the spirit and bless the world.
But to be able to do that, first, we need to be able to reach the quiet within us and to heal distress and turmoil.
We can learn that peace is part of us and the only requirement is that we embrace any situation in which we are.
To me, the purpose of everything is to prove that my illusions about myself are real.

And because of that, I attempt to use everything and everyone for I believe that’s what the world is for.
Therefore I do not recognize the real purpose.
I continue attempting to prove to myself that the illusions about myself have led me to a frightening picture of the world.
Today, I want to open my mind to the world’s real purpose by withdrawing my attention from the one I have given it and as a result learning the truth about it.
What would happen is I knew that everything that happens, all events, past, present, and future, are gently planned by the spirit whose only purpose is my good?

What if by not rusting the spirit completely I misunderstand his plans for me?
What if I changed my mind and believed that the spirit is guiding me towards joy and happiness?
Today I will not play any childish games and assume that I know what is best for me.
My purpose is to save the world from misery and pain and I will not exchange that for my silly attempts to control the senseless dream that I mistook for the world.
Today I will change my mind about the meaning of this world and my purpose in it.
When the purpose is not defined abuse is inevitable, is a common saying. I like the way you defined your purpose on earth to find joy and also share it with the world around. Living an impactful life. Such, being sad is not an option. I must learn to be happy at all times. I have changed my part and purpose today. I will also learn to live for others .

Finding our purpose in life changes our life. Thank you for this very encouraging post. Being happy is a decision. We leave it to chance or circumstances. But there will always be challenges and negative outcomes that will want to bring us down. But being happy within is our tool to face these challenges.
Hello Ann,
Thank you for your wonderful comment. Of course, I agree with you. Being happy is definitely a decision, a decision to overlook certain things and focus on what’s important. There will always be things, people or circumstances that upset us but choosing not to get upset will change our lives for the better, especially when we have no control over those things, people, and circumstances.
This seems to be so simple, and intuitive and yet for some reason so hard to do, especially at first. It has probably something to do with social conditioning where we are taught to change the things that we do not like.
