Learn How To Be Still And Listen To The Truth
“Compose yourself in stillness, draw your attention inward and devote your mind to the Self. The wisdom you seek lies within.”— Bhagavad Gita
If you can just for an instant lay aside the ego’s controlling voice and refuse to accept its loud call, you will be able to listen with an open mind.
If you can refuse the ego’s petty promises for happiness and joy, you will hear the mighty voice of truth; a voice that is quiet in volume but strong in stillness and totally certain in its messages.
Be still and listen to the voice which silences the thunder of your meaningless thoughts and shows you the way to peace.
Be not deceived by the voice of the ego which promises you the source of life.
Be still and listen to the truth.

Be not afraid to let go of the voices of the world for a little while.
Walk lightly past them towards the truth.
Be still and hear the voice. It speaks to you.
It will bring miracles a thousand times as happy and joyous as those that you have ever dreamed of in your dreams.
Learn to be still and prepare yourself for miracles.
Be still and listen to the voice which lifts the veil that lies upon the earth.
The voice needs your voice to speak to those who sleep and cannot hear.
The voice needs you to hear it first, so that you can become a joyous giver of that which you have received to the rest of the world.
Be still and listen to the truth.
For every five minutes spent in listening, a thousand other minds are opened to the truth.
Let me be still and listen to the truth.
I am the messenger of God today,
My voice is His, to give what I receive.

Be Still And Feel The Love Of God In You Now
“Wisdom comes with the ability to be still. Just look and listen. No more is needed.” — Eckhart Tolle
There is a light in you that the world cannot perceive.
You cannot see this high with your eyes, for you are blinded by the world.
And yet you are able to see this light.
It is there for you to look upon.
It was placed in you not to be hidden from your sight.

To see the light within you is to see a new world, shinning, innocent, alive, blessed with perfect love.
Who could be afraid of such world as this?
The new world welcomes you and rejoices that you came.
It loves you and keeps you safe from every form of danger and pain.
It offers you a gentle home to stay a while.
It blesses you and guards and protects the light in you.
This is the world of love.
It is so different from the world you see through your darkened eyes of malice and fear.
A world where forgiveness encompasses everything and peace offers its gentle light to everyone.
What do you want to see?
The choice is give you.
But remember and don’t let your mind forget the law of seeing: you will see that which you feel within.
If hatred is in your heart, you will see a fearful world.
If you feel love within you, you will see a world of mercy and love.
Learn how to be still and discover a new world.
Today, be still and seek to reach the truth in you.
Stillness will show you the way.
Simply do this: be still and lay aside all thoughts of what you think you are, all concepts you have of the world, all images you hold about yourself.
Empty your mind completely.
Let go of what your mind think is right or wrong, true or false, good or bad.
Hold onto nothing.
Do not hold on to one thought the past has taught you, no one belief that you have.

Just for a bit, forget this world entirely, sit with wholly empty mind and wait.
The truth will find you.
Your job is only to allow all obstacles that you have interposed to be quietly removed.
Be still and allow the love of God to come to you.
Do not choose the way in which you think he should come to you.
But choose to let him come.
With quiet hearts and open minds we wait silently and know that he will come.

Be Still And Go Home
“Stop all doing and be still. Let the fire of stillness burn everything and reveal That which is Openness.” — Adyashanti
This world that you live in is not our home.
Deep down in your mind you know that this is true.
A memory of your true home keeps calling you.
You know this is true because you do not feel at home here.
There is a tiny, subtle feeling that keeps coming back to your mind.
We play games of suffering, sadness, tears, pain, to occupy our time and not acknowledge the quiet voice in our mind.
But in simple honesty, without defensiveness and self-deception, can you deny you understand what I’m talking about?

We walk uncertainly in endless search, seeking in darkness what we cannot find, not recognizing what we are seeking.
We make a thousand homes in vain as none are able to contain our minds.
The home we are seeking cannot be made by us.
All we have ever managed to make is hell.
It is our eternal home that we are seeking, a home that brings to earth the pure reflection of the light.
Be still and rest a while.
Give just little bit time to feel the peace within.
When you are still for an instant, the world recedes from you when your thoughts cease to have value in your restless mind, then you will be home.
Stay in perfect stillness, beyond all words, untouched by fear and doubt, certain that you are home.
This is what your heart desires.
This is the faint voice that you hear and cannot deny.
Be still and go home and be at peace a while.

Be Still And Remember Your Purpose
“If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.” — Chuang Tzu
We feel threatened by this changing world with its twists of fortunes.
A world rooted in attack where there is no safety.
A world where no peace of mind is possible.
A world where our mind is confused and does not know where to turn to find escape from its projections.
Be still a while and remember your true purpose of saving the world.
Do not allow your happiness slip away by focusing on senseless thoughts that happen to cross your mind.
Be vigilant in your intention and focus.
Be still and know that you cannot be in fear because you have left all fearful thoughts behind.

Be still and be certain of your safety now and that you will fulfill your chosen purpose of extending blessings throughout the world.
Be still a moment and know how noble is your purpose, secure in rest and untouchable within its light.
Many are called but only few choose to answer the call and be still.
Be still and accept your purpose, for if you fail to do so, darkness will continue to hold the world in grim imprisonment.
Learn to be still and know that a quiet time has come, in which we put our fears and doubts away.
In time, with practice, you will learn to be still and to keep your mind from wandering from its intent.
Be not afraid or timid.
There can be no doubt that you will remember your true purpose.
“To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.” — Lao Tzu

Wow! This article is very poetic. It is fun to read! There are many truths here. We are all so busy, at times, we forget to listen to what God has to say. What are we so busy with? Just everyday living! I find it very hard to be still. My mind does not seem to want to shut off! My body has a hard time sitting still and relaxing. We need to make a conscious effort to relax and listen. How do you get to that point of stillness?
Hi Kay, thank you for your comment. I think this is the question and biggest struggle. How do we get to to that point of stillness? it is true that our minds and bodies are so busy and always craving movement and activity. And the second we try to change that they fight us with all their might.
I don’t think there is a shortcut to this. Or if there is, I have not found it yet. It literally takes determination and consistency. I dedicate quiet time during the day no matter what. Sometimes my body and mind will cooperate, but more often than not, they will fight me. Let it. Accept it. Accept the uncomfortable feeling but stay put no matter what. Put your timer on and do not move, no matter what. That’s my method. If you stay consistent, you will reap great rewards.
Good Luck. If you find a different method, please share it with me and others.
I have some good friends who apply this technique to their children on a regular basis. They have them both sit still and just be there. It has averted more household disasters than I can count.
On a personal basis, I’ve applied this to myself on many occasions. Doing it after a moment of confusion or upset has calmed me down and made it possible for me to get back up and into action again.
And then doing it when nothing is wrong or just on a normal basis, has brought me up to an even higher level of tranquility and serenity in my life.
Great post and incredibly inspiring.
How often would you say you do this in a week?
Love,
Sammy
Hi Sammy, thank you for your comment. Agree with you 100%. I also try to teach my daughter the value of being still but I let her make her own decisions.
I do that on daily basis. Definitely in the morning and at night. What I’m working on right now is to learn to be still when I get very upset. You know, those moments when your mind is raging and your body is vibrating from anxiety and you feel you will never be still and at peace again, I try to catch that moment and force myself and sit in silence even if only for 10 minutes. It’s very hard at times but even the 10 minutes of attempting stillness does wonder to going beyond the unpleasant bodily feelings. I think this will be a never ending process. There will always be new dimensions to discover when we allow ourselves to be still.
It is important to be still sometimes. Just to remove yourself from any drama you might be experiencing. Can sometimes help you calm down. Also the other voice can be heard from God.
He might have something important to show specifically, thus it is really important to come still. It helps you put the pause button in life currently and rethink about things.
Hi Bernard, thank you for your comment. Yes, if we learn to be quiet and listen we will get access to all sorts of wonderful guidance from inside of us that will not lead us astray. We rely on our limited perception and awareness to make our decisions in life not realizing the wonderful resources we have within us if we only learn how to be still and listen.
Thank you for an eye opening article – Learn How To Be Still – And Discover A New World. This world we live in is very busy and it is very easy for us to get lost in it. Your article made me realize we all get exactly what we have attracted, by seeing what we feel. We should fine the finer things in life by just slowing down.
Hi Diana, thank you for your comment. I agree with you, for some reason we all need constant reminders to slow down and start paying attention to the more subtle things in life. I don’t exactly know why we have built such busy lives for ourselves, but now it’s time to put some effort into slowing down and finding more balance.
