man, praying, God hearing

Whatever or whoever God is to you, we have all asked that question at one point or another: God, can you hear me?

What I’m going to tell you will be hard to hear but please bear with me and read until the end as there is a beautiful message there.

God cannot hear you –  God does not understand words

This is a terrifying thought at first.

But think about it.

Why would God – our father who loves us unconditionally – put us in this world in the first place?

God didn’t – God loves us too much to expose us to death, pain, and misery of this world.

We have created this ourselves.

We have allowed a belief that we are separate from God and each other into our minds.

As a result, this world was made instead.

And because we have made this world and did not like it we also had to invent something to end it – death.

But none of this is real.

It cannot be.

God would never expose His children to the suffering of the world.

What Is God?

God is impossible to describe as we are not able to grasp the full meaning of what God is.

God is pure, unconditional Love.

This kind of love we cannot even fully understand as this kind of love is impossible in this world of illusions.

So, how could God, pure unconditional love, see our suffering?

God is not aware of what we go through on earth as this was not God’s will for His children.

God’s will for us is unconditional love and unity with him.

This is impossible in this world, the world that we have made up believing that we are separate from God and each other.

God Does Not Understand Words

heart, prayer, energy, love, God
This is a different kind of prayer, a prayer of your heart.

The fact that God does not understand our words is a good thing.

What kind of loving father would expose his children to the miseries of the world?

God certainly did not do that.

Even though God does not hear and understand our words, there are ways to pray to God where He can hear us.

You don’t need to use words for this kind of prayer.

This is a different kind of prayer, a prayer of your heart.

God Hears Your Prayer

God does hear your prayers.

But we need to be very clear in what kind of prayers can God hear.

God does not see us as we see ourselves, so a wishlist of things that we think we want to see happen in this world does not make any sense to God.

God sees us as perfect and complete, so how can we possibly ask for things that imply lack?

The only kind of prayer that God can hear is the prayer of the heart.

Not everyone is at a level that allows this kind of prayer.

If you are still at a stage where you use words when you speak to god, that is fine.

But understanding that God cannot hear your words, will help you reach the higher levels of prayer, where God can listen to you.

What is Prayer?

Prayer is a way of asking for something.

However, the only meaningful prayer is a prayer for forgiveness.

When we accept forgiveness, we have recognized what we really are.

When we say forgiveness we do not imply the meaning that the world assigned to the word.

It does not mean that you have witnessed someone doing something “wrong’ and decided to forgive them for it, rather is means recognizing the true perception, that god did not create the world that we see, there it cannot be real.

A prayer for forgiveness is nothing more than a request so that you may recognize what we already are and have.

Everyone who has ever tried using prayer to ask for something specific, other than forgiveness, has experienced failure.

And yet, it is promised us that all prayers are answered.

And this is true indeed.

While God cannot hear our questions and asks, the Holy Spirit will always provide an answer.

However, it is certain that no response will be given by Him that would ever increase fear.

Therefore it is possible that the Holy Spirit’s answer or response will not be heard.

There are many answers that we have already received but have not yet heard.

They are still waiting for us for when we are ready to hear them.
Prayer is a way offered by the Holy Spirit to reach God.

True prayer must avoid the pitfall of asking to entreat.

Rather, we should ask to receive what is already given us, to accept what is already there.

The secret of true prayer is to forget the things you think you need.

True prayer is stepping aside.

A letting go

A quiet time of listening and loving.

Prayer is an offering.

A giving up of yourself to be at one with God

Can God Hear My Thoughts?

God can only hear pure loving thoughts.

Unfortunately, it is very rare for us to have pure loving thoughts while we are here.

But God did not abandon us.

Our loving Father did not leave us without aid along our journey back to Him.

We have Christ and the Holy Spirit to help us find our way back home, where we belong.

Jesus represents the Christ part of us.

While we live in this world, believing that we are this frail and limited human being, the Christ in us represents the truth of what we really are.

Jesus shows us how to transcend the body and realize the truth about ourselves.

We can follow Jesus’s example of how to be in this world but not of this world.

Holy Spirit mediates between us and God, keeping a direct channel from God to us open.

Our mind is split into a lower mind and a higher mind.

The lower mind is where the ego operates and the higher mind is where the Holy Spirit operates.

For the most part, our higher mind is asleep and we only operate from the lower mind, or the ego’s domain.

For as long as we are focused in the lower mind, God will never be able to hear us nor we Him.

But we can allow the Holy Spirit to guide us back to God, where he is awaiting us, and where we will be able to communicate directly with Him.

Now, let’s be clear about something.

The Holy Spirit is in us in a very literal sense.

His voice calls us back to where we belong and were before.

It is possible in this world to hear only His voice and no other.

We are God’s children but we have allowed the belief of darkness enter our mind and now we need help out of that darkness.

The Holy Spirit’s voice calls for us to banish the idea of darkness.

Before we separated from our creator we did not need guidance.

But now that we believe in darkness, we need the Holy Spirit to guide us back home.

How Can I Talk To God?

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.” – Mother Teresa

The best way for us to talk to God is to be quiet.

Allow some time to sit quietly without distractions.

Give up all ideas and expectations and just listen.

For a while forget everything you think you need or want.

Set aside everything that you think you know and just be quiet.

God will speak to you through the Holy Spirit.

When you feel joy, you will know that you are hearing the Holy Spirit’s voice.

Follow it, it will not lead you astray.

It will lead you back home, to God.
